John is a gifted teacher and
shepherd who loves people and deeply desires to communicate God's truths to the modern world.
After graduating Wheaton
College with a B.A. in Communications, he earned an M.Div. Denver Seminary. After graduation, John moved to Washington
State where he became the youth pastor at a thriving church. Bucking the trend for youth pastors who stay
in one assignment for less than 24 months, he served faithfully for nearly 240
months as the leader of both the high school and middle school groups!
In 2008, John informed the
leadership at his church that he felt God was calling him to live a Kingdom
lifestyle outside the pastoral vocation.
Stepping out in faith without a clear calling to a next venue, he is
currently substitute teaching in the local public schools and enjoying God’s
provision in unusual ways.
John is a profoundly biblical
thinker, an effective communicator, and a very down-to-earth person. He relates well to a wide variety of ages and
particularly enjoys learning new names and finding out the stories of the
people around him.
John lives in Richland,
Washington with Jessica, his wife of 13 years, and their three sons Will, Clay,
and Joe.
