Observations for your Jehovah’s Witnesss Visitors
by Dr. Brent Kinman
1. According to the Old Testament, only Jehovah is a savior:
Is. 43:11 “I, even I, am the LORD; And there is no savior besides Me.
Is. 45:21 “Declare and set forth your case; Indeed, let them consult together. Who has announced this from of old? Who has long since declared it? Is it not I, the LORD? And there is no other God besides Me, A righteous God and a Savior; There is none except Me.
But in the New Testament, Jesus is called ‘Savior’:

By Dr. Brent Kinman
Editor’s note: far too often, Christian debates with members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints revolve around tangential issues. The core issues in this debate involve the nature of God, the validity of LDS scriptures and the authority of LDS leadership as true prophets. The following questions are intended to focus on those issues in conversations with LDS members.

Yesterday the government of Punjab province razed a church and nearly 100 surrounding houses, ostensibly in order to build a road. However, it is telling …

I fully believe that everyone is well-served when the truth is spoken in bold but loving ways. While I have a tendency to be sarcastic, I try hard not to let that tendency affect my writing or Christian speaking too much, especially when it comes to comparing Christianity and other world religions. But I have to be honest: sometimes sarcasm is impossible to resist. Did you see this from the Associate Press?
“The imam behind a proposed Islamic community center and mosque near ground zero cautioned Wednesday that moving them could cause a violent backlash from Muslim …
The Last Airbender – Movie Review
The Last Airbender – Movie Review
By: Stacey Tuttle
Highly entertaining, full of action and beautiful scenery, artfully done, The Last Airbender has been a top box office draw (currently 5th), bringing in $16.6M in its first two weeks of release—and it’s no wonder. Whether or not people have seen the cartoon it is based on, parents and children alike are flocking to see it, and they’re all being equally entertained. But here is my question, are we just being entertained, or are we pausing to filter through the messages and beliefs that the movie is based on? The movie …
